End of Chat Survey Page to Appear within Chat Landing Page

For a chat opened from the Oracle B2C Service customer portal chat_landing page, the end of chat survey (configured via rules) can be opened only in a new browser page at the moment. Presenting the survey questionnaire within the same chat window is desired many a times during customer portal implementation. This article presents a way to present chat survey page within chat window at the end of chat conversation via a small customisation in chat landing page.

Customisation in Chat Landing Page

Following customisation could be made in the chat_landing.php script in order for the survey to be opened within the same page. The custom solution mainly has a logic to replace the chat landing page with a hardcoded survey URL when chat state is changed to disconnected.
